Exhibitor Description: BandQuest is a series of music for band written by world-class composers. The series is commissioned and published by the American Composers Forum, an organization that has supported composers and their music since 1975.

What do you hope visitors to your booth will gain? Visitors will gain an increased appreciation and understanding of today’s living composers, their music, the process of composing, and tools for teaching composition in the classroom.

What are the benefits of your product or service? The BandQuest series provides new music for middle-level bands written by world-class composers in residence with school bands. Five of the BandQuest pieces include interactive, interdisciplinary CD-ROMs that connect the series to other aspects of life and learning.

Why are you exhibiting at the Midwest Clinic? American Composers Forum will share information on our programs that will assist in teaching about composers and composition.

What will be on display at your booth? All scores in the BandQuest series, audio of the pieces along with takeaway CDs of the music, the interdisciplinary CD-ROMs, and materials about ACF and the services it offers to educators and the field of new music.

The Heritage Cornet mouthpieces are the newest cornet mouthpiece design on the market and are highly sought after, especially among brass bands. The results are astounding. What's the trend in your industry and/or what are your plans for 2008? Wick’s newest approach to solving endurance, playability and sound issue is culminated in the Heritage concept. The design lends itself to better resonance in the upper registers and combines the larger, rounder sound of a deeper, more open mouthpiece with the articulation and upper register response experienced on a smaller, shallower cup.

What kind of hands-on opportunities will your booth offer? All Denis Wick products on display are available for testing, which is highly encouraged.

Exhibitor Description: Ron Jon Surf Shop was founded in 1961 when surfing enthusiast Ron DiMenna began selling surfboards at his tiny ocean-side shop in Long Beach Island, N.J. He then headed to Florida two years later, opened the “One of a Kind” Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach, and sold even more.
